Understanding the Procedure of Laser Lipo

Laser liposuction is safer, easier, and engenders more beautiful results than ever before. The doctor can shape your body with laser lipo using a small cannula and complex lasers, which combined, manufacture accurate body outlining and endorse skin tightening. No stitches are involved, and scars are diminutive. Laser lipo does what all those ads for fat-burning pills claim to do, but don't. Also called Smartlipo, laser lipo works by dissolving the fat with a very thin, laser-tipped tube.

Today's laser lipo is a much safer practice for numerous reasons: Doctors use only local anesthetic when operating laser liposculpture, eradicating the high menace of general anesthesia. The tumescent method used in nearly all laser lipo procedures comprises little or no blood loss. The small cannulas used in laser lipo surgery entail only the smallest of cuts, importantly lessening the peril of infection and bruising. Laser lipo is an outpatient system, with nearly all operations taking place in your physician's own clinic. You stay conscious during the surgery, and you walk out of the clinic soon after that. Most patients are back to their common routines in one or two days. Nowadays it seems that laser liposuction surgery is more accepted than ever before. Smart Lipo, a form of laser liposuction has been acknowledged by doctors and patients alike as one of the greatest advancements in cosmetic surgery and body sculpting. Both men and women can't seem to stop talking about how smart lipo a popular form of laser liposuction, has given them a body that no amount of diet and exercise could.

Laser Liposuction is a procedure fairly just granted by the management that can complement conventional liposuction. The advantages compensate the risks factors provided that the patient makes wise decisions. The procedure is dissimilar from conventional liposuction surgery in scale. A tiny laser fiber tube is inserted to the area of fat to be eliminated.

As soon as fat cells are removed, they are gone ceaselessly. Not like other forms of weight loss surgery, laser liposuction results are lasting. Adults do not produce new fat cells; when adults gain weight, existing fat cells enlarge in size. Throughout laser lipo surgery, the laser thaws away the fatty tissue, and the surgeon eliminates the cells from the body. When fat cells are eliminated by means of laser lipo, the patient is enduringly free of those fat cells. With the user of lasers, today's liposuction lets lipo doctors to mold your body with defined outlines. The laser upholds skin tightening over treated parts. Smaller instruments indicate smaller incisions that do not need stitches and leave no hideous scars and result to a new, more beautiful you with the body that you have always dreamed of.

Many people believe that liposuction surgery is just for the obese. They see it as a last ditch solution for those who are gravely overweight. This couldn't be further from the reality. Even as some individuals do use liposuction as a key to medical obesity most people use it for the purpose of body sculpting, to attain the look they've always dreamed of but have been incapable to attain by means of diet and exercise. Patients must not indicate their laser lipo surgeon based on rate alone, nonetheless. It is essential to consider a surgeon's knowledge and track record. Ask for testimonials, and look at before and after photographs. Be convinced to contact the references and ask the earlier patients how they evaluate their experience and the doctor. A little forthright homework might just save you from scheduling a second liposuction to mend the first one.

Liposuction without lasers depends on the surgeon physically suctioning and scraping out fat from beneath the skin. This process can leave some scarring, along with bruising and swelling, and the process ought to be done under general anesthesia, requiring weeks or even months of recovery time depending on the size of the treated area. Some people may suffer some bleeding, swelling, or bruising but it is negligible compared to customary procedures. There are very exceptional cases of surgery impediments such as infection. Laser liposuction cannot replace tradition liposuction since it is designed to only treat small areas such as the face, neck, arms, and breasts. Tradition procedures are still necessary for large areas like the tummy, saddle bags, and hips.

With laser liposuction, the fat is dissolved rather than being suctioned out. The liquefied fat then leaves the body by means of tubes. On the other hand, there is an argument as to whether or not laser lipo has benefits in resemblance to the traditional liposuction procedure. Some doctors state that the procedure tightens the skin in addition, even if that remains to be seen in the long term. Given that there are no anesthesiologist charges; laser lipo is to some extent less expensive than surgical liposuction, though this can be like comparing apples to oranges in view of the fact that the most suitable type of liposuction surgery depends on the quantity and location of the excess fat to be eliminated. Patients with large amounts of excess fat on the overall body are not good candidates for laser lipo, and traditional liposuction is more appropriate. Both types of liposuction remove fat cells, but those who have laser lipo should still follow a reasonable diet and exercise routine.

Laser Fat Removal - Smart-Lipo

Question? When you follow a healthy diet, exercise like your doctor suggests, but still cannot get rid of stubborn fat from your stomach or thighs, how does that feel? It probably feels like your wasting your time always exercising and eating right knowing that you are not getting the results you want. If you have a double chin (fat neck) then you know even the most rigorous workout routines won't work on removing those particular pockets of fat.

Consider this, laser fat removal. There are surgical and non-surgical procedures that can be done to help you permanently eliminate these difficult fat pockets. Now there is a procedure called SmartLipo (one word) that is extremely effective in destroying and permanently eliminating fat cells. It is far less traumatic to tissue than traditional lip because it uses a unique laser to rupture and destroy these pesky fat cells.

While this laser works to liquefy fat cells, a gentle vacuum removes the liquefied fat all while stimulating collagen. In turn the collagen begins to contract which ultimately initiates tightening of the skin in that area. Depending on how much fat you want to have removed, this procedure can be done under local anesthetic. It has been reported my just about every patient that this procedure offers minimal bruising, little pain, and a much quicker recovery time compared to that of older liposuction methods.

This procedure has far more pluses than the standard liposuction. This treatment can actually be complete in about 45 minutes and offers less swelling and bleeding compared to other lipo methods. Once the procedure is done, a pressure garment or ice packet can be applied to the site to decrease swelling.

Typically, patients can return to their regular activity after about a day. You will be able to notice immediate results but the best results will appear within 6 to 8 weeks. This is a great way to achieve your goal of weight loss in particular areas without having to take off weeks from work and deal with lots of pain or swelling. That is why it is called SmartLipo.

If your tired of diets that leave you hungry and ultimately fail, click Laser Fat [http://www.fat-laser.com/smartlipo/] Removal and learn how you can permanently lose weight. This is an FDA approved treatment and is one of the most effective Laser Fat [http://www.fat-laser.com/smartlipo/] Removal treatments available today.

Smart Lipo Laser Treatment For Cellulite

Smart Lipo Laser is a new method to remove the cellulite. In this method, the Smart Lipo laser is transmitted to the skin via diminutive tube, which is merely 1 to 2 millimeters in length. Normally the tube is drawn back and forth and the laser changes the fat deposits into an oily matter. This oily matter is then absorbed and ultimately removed through a human's lymphatic system.

Smart Lipo is the first laser-based appliance introduced in America. Experts who have used this machine are completely astonished to have such an amazing technology. According to the majority of the doctors, the patients get less swelling, bleeding and bruising after using this treatment. The main reason for this is that it instantly closes the small blood vessels and bleeding is stopped.

The positive results are seen just after some days of this treatment. But the best results are seen after the treatment of few months.

Moreover, this treatment may generally be performed in a forty-five minute session within limited anesthesia, thus allowing you to carry on your daily routine. Patients should wear compression clothes after this treatment for some period of time.

You can use SmartLipo treatment on various parts of your body having localized fat deposits like face, neck and chest. These fats usually cannot be removed with the help of exercise, diet or massaging. This way of treatment is very good for loose and hanging skin. And it generally suits to those who are healthy and have a normal body weight. The whole procedure will cost you three thousand to five thousand US dollars.

The most significant feature of SmartLipo is that it shows effective results and is very handy in erasing the cellulite permanently. Usually the cellulite does not appear again after this treatment. In case the fat cells are expanded in the body, they are not deposited in the skin areas which were treated with this machine.

This method is becoming more and more popular in the patients of cellulite. The main problem with all other types of cellulite treatments is that cellulite reappears after the treatment is stopped. But, in this treatment the cellulite disappears permanently and the chances of reappearance are the minimum. The only issue with this treatment is the cost. This treatment is expensive and every body cannot afford this treatment. The cost of this treatment is nearly $5000.

Understanding What Laser Lipo is Expected to Do

Laser lipo may come in a variety of different treatments and can be performed using various techniques. The best way to determine which treatment is right for you is to understand all of your options so that there are no surprises along the way. A medical professional specializing in the field will be able to help answer any questions or address any concerns you may have before selecting a treatment and what to expect after treatment. Smart Lipo, Cool Lipo and Smooth Lipo are just some of the laser liposuction procedures that many cosmetic surgeons and physicians use to bring results to patients.

Lasers have found their way into many fields of the medical industry. The increased precision they offer make them popular among cosmetic surgeons and physicians around and across the country. Laser lipo has helped many patients achieve the body contouring results they desire, but patients should understand how the procedures work before undergoing treatment. To start, most liposuction procedures are not designed to help patients lose a significant amount of weight. Rather, liposuction is usually reserved for those who have trouble getting rid of small, localized pockets of fat deposits. When diet and exercise do not work, many people turn to laser lipo to help achieve their body contouring goals.

Typically, laser energy is directed under the skin to dissolve or liquefy fat cells in the area being treated. The doctor may then remove the dissolved fat cells, or will allow the body to get rid of them through its natural processes. The different liposuction procedures will vary in how they are performed, so it is wise to speak to a medical professional who best understands how each treatment is performed and to help decide which would be best for your individual case.

Laser liposuction is usually considered far less invasive than traditional liposuction. For most laser liposuction procedures, general anesthetic is not required. Instead, a local anesthetic may be used to numb the area being treated. Some procedures use injections that are designed to dissolve fat cells while others use light therapy to achieve preferred outcome. Patients will usually encounter more successful results when it comes to body contouring when they are educated about the variety of treatments and procedures. Upon learning about their options, it will allow them to choose the one that they believe will deliver the best results while also maintaining their safety and well-being during and after the procedure.

Advanced Laser Lipo

Advanced laser lipo is also referred to as "Smart Lipo" or "Lunchtime Lipo", due to the procedure's reputation as the fastest and safest fat reduction procedure around. Laser Liposuction stands miles apart from traditional liposuction, providing those carrying pockets of unwanted fat with an opportunity to get the body they have always desired.

Performed under a local anesthetic, and using a powerful diode laser, the procedure can give you a whole new look without having to undergo a full blown operation or spend any time recovering in hospital. This all-round safer treatment allows patients to stay conscious throughout, converse with their surgeon during the process and be back to normal activities within 24 hours.

Advanced 600nm laser fibres are inserted through a small nick in the skin to break down fat cell walls in a quick and effective way. The procedure removes fat cells completely and is far gentler than traditional lipo resulting in minimal bruising and discomfort.

The liquefied fat from this procedure is then immediately sucked away at the end. What's left is naturally absorbed and removed from the body. After undergoing treatment, you will be able to return to day-to-day life almost immediately, with very little recovery time required.

This safe treatment is used frequently by celebrities due to its fantastic results. Laser Lipo can be performed on various different areas of the body including arms, chin and knees. It is perfectly suited to those common areas of fat deposits, such as the thighs and abdomen. Post-treatment results are quick to see and patients are left with tighter, more toned skin at the treated areas.

The treatment requires just one procedure, which lasts from around 60-90 minutes. Treatment times for larger areas including both thighs and abdominal areas are significantly reduced compared to traditional techniques, due to the advanced technology of the powerful Osyris 25w diode laser.

Advanced Laser Lipo is the method of choice worldwide for fast, effective, safe weight loss, providing beautiful and reliable results.

Laser Lipo - What, How, and Why

Laser liposuction (also commonly called laser lipo or smart lipo) is becoming a very popular technique to permanently get rid of fat from specific areas of your body. Here is a brief overview of what you can expect with this procedure.

The 'What and How'

Basically, the laser lipo procedure is simple. Your doctor will make a very small incision in your skin, allowing a small tube called a canula to penetrate into the fatty tissue you would like removed. Then, the laser within the canula uses a very special laser to target the fatty areas. The laser essentially dissolves or liquifies the fat, which is then removed via the inserted canula.

The 'Why'

So why would someone choose laser lipo versus plastic surgery and traditional liposuction? There are several reasons. First, the cost of the procedure is typically much less than liposuction. Second, the procedure is a much more simple out-patient procedure. No general anesthetic is required, only local is given to the patient. Because of this you are able to go home much quicker. Furthermore, recovery times with laser lipo are much quicker. Because the laser targets only fat areas you will have much less bleeding and bruising and be able to recover faster. Finally, laser lipo is also approved by the FDA. While other lipo alternatives are not yet approved, this technique is, which helps you feel more safe when going into the procedure.

However, just because it is approved by the FDA does not mean it is the best option for you. Be sure to consult with your doctor before deciding to undergo any major treatment on your body.

Laser Assisted Liposuction - A New Smart Lipo With Better Results

Losing weight has never been an easy task. Have you ever considered liposuction. There have been many side effects associated with the procedure, such as pain and swelling. Nobody is a fan of those symptoms. If you are looking for all the benefits, with much fewer side effects, you may want to look into laser assisted liposuction. This combination of technologies has helped many people get rid of excess fat, while dramatically increasing recovery time and decreasing side effects.

The basic premise behind liposuction is simply sucking fat cells out from your body. The suction happens through small cuts made in your body, and a tube being inserted to suck the fat out. The tube is somewhat like a mini vacuum cleaner made for fat. Once the fat cells are sucked out, they will not return, unless overeating causes new ones to develop. But is it worth it? The procedure is usually very painful, and often results in high levels of bruising and swelling in the treated areas. It is also quite common for the patients to be left with sagging skin where the fat has been removed from.

The whole procedure hardly seems worth the time and money. Who wants to go through that kind of pain and financial burden? Recently, though, the development of laser assisted liposuction has revolutionized the process. It has been used in European and African countries for many years, but was just introduced to the North American market in the year 2007.

A very simple way of explaining how laser assisted liposuction works is that the doctors use the lasers to heat the fat cells up. The heat causes the fat cells to melt and become more liquid. With the fat cells in liquid form, they are much easier to suck up and pump out of the body. The ones that do not get sucked up get processed through the liver and peed out.

A great advantage to laser assisted liposuction is that probe that is inserted into the skin is about a quarter of the size of a traditional liposuction probe. This means that the incisions and scarring from the procedure will be much less than traditional liposuction. The laser heats up and melts the fat. From there, the vacuum sucks it away. The one known side effect of the procedure is that the body produces collagen. The funny thing is that collagen is what keeps the skin tight and prevents it from sagging. The laser also cauterizes the wounds, which makes for less swelling, and a faster recovery time.

With the laser assisted liposuction producing collagen in the body, the finished product is much smoother an aesthetically appealing than traditional liposuction. It costs a bit more than its predecessor, but produces far better results.

The greatest concern over the whole procedure is the test of time. It is a relatively new surgery, and therefore the long term side effects have not been measured yet. Some argue that the liquid fat cells that pass through the liver could cause damage in the long run.

One thing is for sure: The procedure works, and will be in high demand for the immediate future.

Smart Lipo - Laser Assisted Liposuction For Body Sculpting

If you are already fit and healthy, working out regularly and eating properly, it can be very upsetting not to able to shed those stubborn areas of fatty cells. But is it really worth putting your health at risk by having a general anesthetic given the risks associated? This is the dilemma a lot of people used to face. Add to that the significant pain, swelling and bleeding associated with traditional liposuction and it is easy to see why some people avoided it.

But with smart lipo you get all the benefits of traditional procedure with virtually none of the drawbacks. As the entire process is so much less invasive you don't need a general anesthetic so that risk out is eliminated. Laser treatment involves heat and this causes a number of positive side effects in liposuction. The amount of blood loss and trauma caused to the surrounding tissue is significantly reduced. The heat from the laser will cauterize the wounds thus reducing bleeding and swelling. This means that your recovery time will be so much faster than using the old version. You will be able to treat any pain with over the counter medications rather than the narcotic pain relief usually required by patients treated with ordinary liposuction.

The second benefit of the heat produced by the laser is that it causes a reaction in your body which stimulates the production of collagen. Collagen is the tightening tissue that we all need to keep our skin firm and supple. After having fatty cells removed under the old treatment, skin often became saggy. But due to this production of collagen, the skin will be smoother and usually tauter than before the procedure was done. The extra benefit is that this improvement in your skins texture and appearance continues for the next four to six months.

The less obvious attraction of smart lipo which is laser assisted is the fact that some procedures will not require the fat cells to be removed by suction. This does depend on the size of the area being treated, the location on your body and the skills of your surgeon. But for some people this has a physiological benefit as they cannot bear to think of a vacuum pump being used on their bodies.

A huge advantage with smart lipo is the fact that your risk of developing complications and requiring further surgery is significantly reduced. A tummy tuck usually follows traditional liposuction when used to treat this area as the saggy skin has to be removed. But this isn't necessary when laser is used. Also under the traditional form of treatment, skin infections were not uncommon whereas they are extremely rare with the newer and improved techniques. We don't yet know if the doctors who are concerned about the effect of fatty cells released by laser assisted liposuction on the liver are justified. Only time will tell but in the meantime the current advantages of the new treatment over the more traditional surgery are significant enough for most people to opt for smart laser liposuction.

Smart Lipo Laser Liposuction

Laser liposuction, known as Smart Lipo, is already in use in Italy, Australia and the Far East and will soon be available at British cosmetic surgery clinics. Smart Lipo is literally a 'walk in, walk out' liposuction treatment and appeals to people wanting a quicker option than traditional liposuction, which may involve a general anaesthetic and overnight stay. The new development comes after clinics are already offering 'lunch break' breast enlargements, minor facelifts and Botox injections. The procedure, which in the United Kingdom will cost between around £1,000 and £2,500 depending on the size of the area treated, can be used to dissolve cellulite on hips, thighs and bottoms. Smart Lipo, which takes place under local anaesthetic, also claims to be able to smooth away double chins, love handles and flabby upper arms or 'batwings'. The firm marketing the equipment in the UK claims that the technique has already been used safely on thousands of men and women around the world.

However, some experts are questioning the effectiveness of the procedure and they are warning that no type of cosmetic surgery is without some risk. There are also worries that speeding up the surgery into so-called "lunch break lipo" could trivialise cosmetic surgery. The problem, they say, is that patients may rush into surgery without fully understanding the risks. Only last year an alternative fat-dissolving procedure, known as Lipostabil, was banned by the medicines' watchdog, the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency. These injections, known as "flab jabs" will no longer be used, pending further research into their safety.

Smart Lipo uses a tiny laser to break up the membrane of fat cells. This allows the oil stored inside the cells to seep out and be broken down by the liver. Collagen production is stimulated, causing the skin to tighten and bruising is minimal. This is in contrast to conventional liposuction, which uses a hollow needle to suction fat out of the body. Whilst a local anaesthetic can be used for small areas, treatment of larger areas such as the hips and thighs usually requires a general anaesthetic and an overnight stay.

It is considered that Smart Lipo will mostly appeal to people who want small amounts of fat to be removed, but do not necessarily want to go into hospital or undergo a major procedure involving general anaesthesia and an overnight stay. The best results will be for those people of normal or just above normal weight, who have localised stubborn fatty areas. It is clear that those who want large areas of fat removed are unlikely to get the results they need during a lunch break treatment.

The number of patients undergoing liposuction surgery is steadily rising, mainly due to the safer and less painful alternative techniques on offer. Although, as with every surgical procedure, there will always be at least a slight element of risk, it can be said that everything we do in life involves a risk, such as going out of the house in the mornings, walking across a busy road or driving along the motorway. So, if there is an option for not being the way you are and you are not happy with something about your body, then there is a case for going ahead and making yourself happier and more confident.

Laser Lipolysis for Cellulite - Smart Lipo Surgery

Laser lipolysis is a new take on traditional liposuction surgery. Rather than using suction to remove fat from the body, a laser is used to literally liquefy the fat in targeted areas of the body. Small incisions are then created at various points throughout the treated area of the body to drain the liquidated fat. Although this form of liposuction is less risky than traditional liposuction, a patient must still meet certain criteria before they qualify for the surgery. This means that the patient should be physically healthy, and their specific body problems cannot be remedied through the traditional routes of diet and exercise. Additionally, the skin should, ideally, have a high level of elasticity. Certain pre existing conditions or the consumption of certain medications may disqualify a person from having this procedure performed.

This type of procedure is generally recommended for smaller areas of the body, such as the face or the midsection, rather than being an all over procedure. However, because the procedure is less invasive than liposuction, the recovery time is usually much less than that of liposuction. It is generally between one to three days, depending upon the particular patient. The most common side effects that are incurred with this procedure are bruising, scarring, and the potential risk of infection. Some individuals also experience hematomas, which is the pooling of blood underneath the skin. However, hematomas generally correct themselves within several days of the surgery. Because this surgery is elective, it is generally not covered by a patient's health insurance. The out of pocket cost for this type of surgery for cellulite will run between $2,500 and $4,000, depending upon the size of the treated area.

Laser lipolysis is generally performed under a localized anesthetic; therefore, the health risks that one incurs are significantly less than those of liposuction are. It allows a patient to remain alert and conscious during the procedure. An added benefit of having laser lipolysis performed is that skin tightening occurs as the body rebuilds new layers of collagen. This process can continue for up to four to six months after the surgery is performed. However, as aforementioned, the primary disadvantage to this procedure is that it is only used for smaller areas of treatment. For those who wish to have surgery for cellulite over large portions of the body, traditional liposuction may be the most beneficial procedure to have performed.

Laser Lipolysis, But More Commonly Known As Smart Lipo

Technically called Laser lipolysis, but more commonly known as Smart Lipo, this is a relatively new cosmetic procedure that is dramatically better than traditional liposuction. There are many advantages to this method and it is attracting an increasing number of doctors and patients.

The first and foremost of these is that the small diameter of the tube used in Smart Lipo demands only an equally small incision and no stitches. Older style liposuction is very invasive and uses a tube that is connected to a powerful vacuum. The tube, called a cannula is inserted into the cut, and the doctor rapidly moves it under the skin to break down the fat so it can be sucked from the body. Smart Lipo on the other hand, is less insidious because the tube is thinner and the fat is not broken down manually.

The laser used is much more accurate for dissolving the fat into a liquid and does not cause any damage to the surrounding tissue. The fat cells are heated after which the liquefied fat is drawn out of the body through a second tube. A substantial quantity is also naturally absorbed into the bloodstream and out of the body through the lymphatic system. Smart Lipo also removes the fat without causing loose, sagging skin. This is because the heat resulting from the laser triggers the release of collagen as well as cauterizing the blood vessels. Together this eliminates the need for further surgery to remove or tighten the extra skin.

Laser Lipo and Smart Lipo

Laser lipo is a relatively new technology. This procedure is a kind of liposuction where the excess body fat is removed from the body using laser beams. The laser beams are used to liquefy the fatty cells inside the body. After liquefaction, these cells leave the body through normal metabolism of the body.

Laser lipo is also known as Smart Lipo or Laser Liposuction. This technique is different from normal liposuction technique since it doesn't require any incisions on the body. This procedure is often done when the patient is awake without any local anesthetic. This saves quite a bit of money which would have gone on anesthesia. This is one of the reasons why laser liposuction is cheaper than normal liposuction procedure.

This procedure has other advantages apart from cost and number of incisions as mentioned earlier. The recovery time of laser liposuction is only a few hours instead of a few days. Due to absence of any cuts, there are no scars which are left behind after the surgery. The success rate of this procedure is also very high.

However, laser liposuction should be performed on body parts having only a small amount of fat in that area. The most commonly treated body parts by this procedure are neck and saddlebags. The surgeon is able to sculpt the area while doing this surgery since the treated area is very small. Also, there is no skin sagging after this surgery. Usually, laser lipo is an outpatient procedure therefore you don't have to get admitted to the hospital. If the area to be treated is bigger, then doctors recommend going with normal liposuction techniques.

Always choose a surgeon having good amount of experience and skill in this procedure. Since the results of liposuction depend on the skill of the surgeon, only medical knowledge is not enough. Usually, the liposuction expenses are not covered under health insurance. Therefore it is important to make sure that you are going to a surgeon who has the qualification and experience of doing similar laser lipo surgeries.

Back Laser Liposuction

Removal of fat on the back creates a dramatic improvement especially for women who are uncomfortable with the fatty areas around the bra strap area. Men and women can benefit from laser liposuction to remove bulges from the side more commonly known as love handles. There are other areas of the back like the lumbar region and the small areas under the arm pits that also accumulate fat which can be removed to enhance the contour of the body.

The most popular area for plastic surgery on the back is the area on women where unsightly fat accumulates under the bra strap. This area bulges out and decreases confidence in wearing tight material tops. The medical term for this area is the intra scapular back, and it is also the area that is greatly enhanced through plastic surgery. Lasers can remove the fat giving the back area under a woman's bra strap look smoother and tighter.

Before having the surgery in the lower lumbar region of the back, patients should be aware that the plastic surgeon may ask for an x-ray. Plastic surgeons will check this area for birth marks or large fat deposits like focal lipomas. These tiny imperfections can be a sign of possible defects in the lower spine. Focal lipomas are benign, but for safety reasons, the plastic surgeon will ensure the patient's health is secured prior to performing liposuction to this area.

The mid to lower back area is also an area where back fat accumulates. The area of fat deposits is called the buffalo hump, but a medical surgeon will refer to it as the cervico dorsal hump. Laser liposuction in this area is often done to patients who are overly obese.

Even though increased contouring of the area is highly effective, any increase of weight will slowly destroy the satisfactory results and patients may need to have the surgical procedure done again. This makes diet and exercise an important part of life after this type of procedure.

It's important to be honest with your plastic surgeon when going in for any type of plastic surgery. Back fat is the result of increased dermal fat, so surgery to this area needs to be carefully chosen. Obsessive and continual back fat removal can cause serious skin scarring and damage. Excessive fat removal from the back can lead to skin necrosis which is dangerous and results from permanent scarring, so make sure to be open with your surgeon if you have had the prior surgeries.

If you are in need of fat removal from your back area, ask your plastic surgeon about the possibility of laser liposuction. Laser liposuction is a much safer, productive method to rid your body from unsightly bulges and build confidence in your body.

The Recovery After Laser Liposuction

While some plastic surgery procedures require a long list of post-op instructions, SmartLipo's recovery process is much simpler. The heat from the laser's energy results in significantly reduced side effects and lessens the risk of complications after surgery. The laser used in SmartLipo seals the open blood vessels and lymphatic channels as it goes through the fat and melts it. This reduces blood loss and lymphatic leaking during the procedure as well as the magnitude of bruising and swelling after.

As soon as the Smartlipo procedure is over, the body will begin healing itself. Regardless of being done under general or local anesthesia, patients can leave the facility where the procedure was performed as the anesthetic wears off. Patients will go home with compression garments applied. This could be a wrap-around abdominal binder, a compression girdle, ace wraps on the arms, or a neck strap, depending upon the area treated. These compression garments have no magical properties and are not singularly responsible for the cosmetic outcome. But they do help with pain and comfort as they hold the area tight and prevent the areas treated from moving around excessively...and painfully. The very small incisions where the laser probe and cannulas were introduced will drain a little and that is perfectly OK. Sometimes these will be left open so that drainage can occur. This drainage will usually stop in a day or so. There is no care required of these small incisions. (i.e., no need for antibiotic creams)

With traditional liposuction, the recovery period can be weeks or even months. Extensive swelling and bruising was normal and the pain was significant. With Smartlipo, the recovery is definitely quicker with less pain. Many patients can resume their regular work and social activities within the first few days. Smartlipo still does have some swelling but with less pain, activities and exercise can resume sooner which increases circulation to the treated areas. As circulation is increased with greater postoperative activities, the swelling that does develop will go away quicker.

As Smartlipo is often done with other cosmetic face and body procedures, the amount of recovery will be extended as the operation and trauma to the body increases. But when done as a stand alone procedure, Smartlipo offers some real recovery advantages over traditional liposuction.

Learning About Laser Methods For Fat Removal

Obesity is something that is affecting millions of people around the world. Why obesity has become so prevalent is directly linked to dietary choices as well as a lack of exercise. Many people, in an effort to save cooking time, like to eat fast food. Additionally, many people have jobs that require them to spend long periods of time sitting behind a desk rather than getting some healthy exercise.

However, medical technology has come up with various ways to combat excess fat, and one of those ways is in the form of a procedure that is known as SmartLipo. Anyone who is contemplating having this procedure done should be aware of how SmartLipo works. To understand that, it is important to know how fat molecules anatomically form.

Each time a person eats food that is high in sugar and in fat, the body takes what it can use of these substances, and then releases the rest into the bloodstream. Fat and sugar are then converted into fat molecules, which start to layer upon themselves in the area between the muscle layer and the fat layer.

Once these fat molecules have been created, they are often very hard to remove via exercise alone. This is where SmartLipo comes in. This procedure uses specially calibrated lasers to get rid of the excess fat molecules. Specifically, the heat from these lasers is strong enough to rupture the fat molecules and liquefy them.

The liquefied fat is then drained out through small incisions that have been made nearby. At the same time that the laser is rupturing the fat molecules, it is also working to seal off the surrounding blood vessels. So, while regular liposuction might produce bruising, swelling, and bleeding, this procedure produces minimal, if not any at all, instances of these things.

Something that people who are interested in having this procedure need to find out is whether or not they would be considered good candidates for this procedure in the first place. People who are within about twenty five pounds of what is considered to be a healthy weight for their body are considered to be the best candidates. Conversely, people who are significantly overweight will be advised to first go on a weight loss program to get within their goal weight.

The SmartLipo procedure itself is an outpatient procedure, because it has been found that patients recuperate best in their own home. The procedure is performed under local anesthesia, which means that the patient will be awake. This is actually better for the patient, since it means that there are fewer complications than those that might occur amongst people while under general anesthesia.

In general, the patient will need only one treatment session in order to be able to have the fatty areas of their body contoured. Exactly how long the treatment session will last depends on how much revision work that the patient will need. However, the procedure usually lasts between two and three hours. Because the body will need time to adjust, it will take time to see the overall results. So, it will be very important to have patience!

Can Laser Liposuction Really Melt Away Fat?

Since their invention, fitness clubs have always been popular amongst various groups of people. When it comes to the kinds of people who frequent these places, there are a couple of main types. The first type are those who are obsessed with looking as fit as possible. Then, there are the people who are concerned about their health, but make smart choices about their exercise habits (meaning that they do not overdo). Next is the overweight people who have trouble focusing on exercise, and lastly there are the people who are at a healthy weight but are finding that exercise is not helping them lose the visible excess fat.

The people in this last group are considered to be optimal candidates for laser liposuction. People who have never heard about this procedure are probably curious to know how laser liposuction works. In order to understand that it is important to know how fat molecules happen in the first place. Fat molecules occur when the excess fat that a person consumes cannot be processed by the body.

So, the fat molecules form a layer between the muscles and the upper skin layers, and this is where laser liposuction comes in. What basically happens during a laser liposuction procedure (which is an outpatient procedure) is that first, small incisions are made in the skin layer. Next, a laser device is used to focus on the fat molecules. The laser heat ruptures these molecules, and the resulting liquefied fat is drained out through the incisions.

SmartLipo Laser Liposuction - Fast, Visible Results

Amazing New Technology for Fat Removal

If you're looking to get rid of those obstinate fat pockets, SmartLipo laser liposuction is a procedure that guarantees fast, visible results. Besides being the first and sole laser aided lipolysis machine to remove fat in a minimally invasive and innovative manner, SmartLipo is associated with fewer side-effects and a shorter downtime when compared to traditional liposuction.

A Winning Option

Whatever may be the color, age, skin type or shape of the person, SmartLipo emerges as a winning option. Included among the many body areas that can be effectively treated with SmartLipo are small regions of the face, arms, neck, male breasts, tummy, ankles, and knees. Any person with fat in these areas and who is not more than 25 lbs above the most correct weight for him/her, can stand to gain from SmartLipo.

Multiple Benefits

Here are some of the other benefits of SmartLipo laser liposuction:

o Only a minimal degree of bruising, discomfort, and pain.

o Results are visible soon after the procedure and would continue to get better over the months.

o Enhances body contour.

o Tautens sagging skin.

o Causes a certain level of cellulite enhancement.

o Stitches not required.

SmartLipo is more advantageous than other liposuction modalities that are laser assisted because of its use of a dual laser MPX - the SmartLipo MPX. The utilization of two wavelengths by the SmartLipo MPX helps to decrease the treatment time.

Fat Doesn't Return

Usually, one treatment is all that's required to get the desired results. What's more, once the treatment is over, you will not develop fresh fat cells. If fat is to develop, most of it would be concentrated in regions where the treatment was not done. It's no surprise then that so many people are going the SmartLipo way.

Laser Liposuction - Contouring the Body With Minimal Discomfort and Downtime

Despite our best efforts to stay fit and healthy, age, genetics, and events like pregnancy can cause unsightly fat deposits that won't respond to diet and exercise. Each year, more and more women and men turn to liposuction to help eliminate these fat pockets from their stomach area, thighs, hips, and arms, but many people are reluctant to undergo an invasive surgical procedure that involves discomfort and recovery time. However, thanks to technological advances in the world of plastic surgery, men and women who are considering liposuction in Philadelphia and New Jersey have a new option - laser body contouring. Laser lipo techniques like SmartLipoTM and ZERONATM offer results similar to those that can be achieved with traditional liposuction without the pain and downtime of the traditional procedure.

SmartLipo was one of the first laser liposuction treatment options to hit the market and it has been very popular at my practice. SmartLipo is a minimally-invasive procedure in which a cannula - a tiny tube - with a low-level laser connected to its tip is inserted under the skin via a small incision near the treatment area. The laser breaks down fat cells, which then can be suctioned out of the body through the cannula. Because SmartLipo causes significantly less trauma to the surrounding tissue than traditional liposuction, it's actually safer than liposuction, and swelling and bruising are minimal. SmartLipo can be used on any part of the body where traditional liposuction is performed.

Further refinements of laser technology have produced ZERONA, a new laser body contouring method that is completely non-invasive. In studies, ZERONA has been shown to reduce the circumference of the waist, hips, and thighs by 1.28 to 3.52 inches - these results are quite significant, especially considering that they are achieved without surgery. ZERONA uses laser technology to target fat cells near the surface of the skin. The laser causes the cells to release fat, which is then removed by the body's natural cleansing process in the days and weeks following treatment. ZERONA is most commonly used to treat pockets of fat on the mid-body, but it is also used to successfully treat other areas like the back and upper arms. There are no incisions, no scars, no anesthesia, and no downtime - the procedure is completely painless.

Laser technology is revolutionizing plastic surgery techniques and the results we are seeing with treatments like SmartLipo and ZERONA are very exciting. Depending on the patient and their body contouring goals, surgeons may recommend that laser liposuction be combined with a traditional body contouring procedure like liposuction or tummy tuck for maximum results. Anyone who is considering laser or traditional body contouring should choose an experienced, board-certified plastic surgeon who can recommend the procedure that is best for them.

Benefits of Laser Liposuction

Liposuction has been a popular cosmetic treatment for decades, but improvements to the process has made this procedure even more enticing to those who want to bid farewell to stubborn fat pockets. Laser surgery has become an attractive alternative to traditional surgical methods, and this philosophy has recently come into the arena of liposuction as well. There are many benefits to choosing a laser procedure over the standard incision methods of the past.

1. Safety

Liposuction has never been considered a particularly risky procedure, but laser liposuction is even safer than procedures of the past. Instead of creating incisions to insert the cannula used to remove the excess fat cells, low level lasers can effectively destroy the fat particles so they can be safely and easily removed. The other factor that cuts down on the risk of this procedure is the fact that it is done with a local anesthetic instead of the general that was given in the past.

2. Recovery Time

Although traditional liposuction procedures are often done in an outpatient setting, there is a recovery time to consider. Many patients that have these treatments done have to wait to return to normal activities for up to two weeks. Not so with laser liposuction. This noninvasive procedure allows patients to return to work and normal schedules in a couple of days. Pain is also minimal after laser treatments, making recovery time much more comfortable as well.

Laser liposuction is a relatively noninvasive process that is considered safe and requires little recovery time. It is a win-win for those seeking a surgical method to get rid of excess fat once and for all.
