Jack LaLanne Dies of Pneumonia

Jack LaLanne who was considered the fitness guru and whose career as a fitness expert spanned more than seventy five years died on January 23rd, 2011, of pneumonia. He was considered the pioneer in teaching Americans the healthy way to live and eat. He did have an influence but America's ability to create a service oriented economy, with millions of jobs where the only activity was talking on the phone or press buttons on a keyboard, was just too much for one person to handle and resulted in entire sections of our population in becoming over weight.

Jack LaLanne Dies at 96 years of Age

After he started his first gymnasium way back in 1936, his popularity and his career only soared to new heights. Jack LaLanne said that he worked at living, and that he would never die since it would ruin his image. For a man who lived right for so long, 96 years is a prolific lifetime anyway.

A Worthy Candidate

He had the privilege of being introduced by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, when he was inducted into the California Hall of Fame. The governor rightly stated that he had helped create the modern fitness craze and for that he deserves due credit. Jack had a bad childhood and an overweight father.

No Choice in the Matter

Many Americans lack fitness in their lives, and to most of them, liposuction surgery to undermine their fat is the easiest answer. But, liposuction should be utilized to lose weight only under the necessary circumstances and when absolutely justified cosmetically. Since liposuction is available on the open market, people are misusing the surgical procedure but most people are not and they know they better do something about their weight status.
