What is Smartlipo?

Smartlipo is effective at treating smaller areas of the body such as double chins and love handles. It is not suitable for treating obesity for which liposuction is still definitely the best cosmetic surgery option.

Does Smartlipo hurt?

Media coverage of liposuction through television shows such as 'Extreme Makeover' have resulted in it appearing to be quite an aggressive procedure which has put some people off it altogether, despite this not really being the case. However it is a much less invasive and gentler procedure than liposuction as it only requires a very fine and flexible cannula to be inserted into the skin. There may be some mild tenderness experienced after the procedure but generally no pain should be experienced with most people able to carry on with their basic daily activities almost immediately. Smartlipo also does not require any stitches.
